Parker is back at Poxabogue where he has been teaching there for the past five years. He has
successfully passed the Players Ability Test and is pursuing PGA membership. He is also a
graduate from the Golf Academy of America where he received an Associates degree in Golf
Management. He has over one thousand hours teaching experience during his tenure at
Poxabogue. He also specializes in teaching beginners as well as professionals. Parker is
excited to see new and old faces aroundPoxabogue this year. Call the golf shop today to book

Tom Mac Lachlan, PGA level 1 member. 2006 William
Mitchell Scholarship winner. Medalist in PAT, Links at
Shirley in 2000. Teaching instrustor at The Garden City
Golf Club from 2000 to 2008. Ping, Titleist, and Callaway
CPAS certified fitter. Was brought up around the game and
have been a professional since 1999.
Rob joins the Poxabogue Teaching Staff after having an extensive teaching and playing career for over a
decade. In 2006 Rob became a PGA class A member and has worked at many top clubs throughout New York
and New Jersey. Having played competitively in 14 different countries and sustaining a world ranking for over
five years, Rob has a lot of experience in the game of Golf. He has successfully made the cuts on nearly every
tour in the world. Rob has played along side the best players and studied their techniques under pressure
situations. He has obtained a wealth of knowledge that he now shares with his students. Rob has studied
every aspect of the game including Exercise, Mental and Nutritional training from some of the best in their
respective fields.
Rob has a vast knowledge of different techniques used in putting, short game and full swing. Having watched
Bob Toski and Steve Bourbon teach, as well as being instructed from these two world class instructors for 5
years, Rob is well versed in describing in great detail the simple approach of teaching fundamentals in motion.
In the lesson the student can expect to engage in a complete understanding of the strengths and weaknesses
throughout their swing. Instruction will focus on the student understanding ball flight laws and how to self
correct during the round. Rob will discuss the student's physical limitations and how to strengthen or
overcome these so the body will move more efficiently throughout the swing. In the lesson, he will touch on
mental training such as visualization techniques and developing a repeatable pre and post shot routine.
Eric K. Schultzel
Director of Instruction
Class A PGA of America
Eric began playing golf at the age of eight and immediately fell in love with the
game. He attended East Hampton High School where he played on the Varsity
Golf Team all four years. In 1999, Eric was awarded a golf scholarship to
Brevard Collage in Florida where he played for the school team under the
instruction of Beau Baugh who was a member of the PGA Tour from 1979 to
1986. In 2001 Eric returned to the east end to start his professional golf career
at Montauk Downs State Park and most recently served as Director of
Instruction at Montauk Downs. In 2008, Eric earned his full Class A PGA status
and is an active PGA America member. With over ten years of employment in
the golf industry, Eric brings to Poxabogue Golf Center enthusiasm, vast
knowledge of the game, and the skill of teaching golfers of all ages and skill
levels techniques to improve their game. Eric is a Montauk native who now
resides in Sag Harbor.
